One Good Deed Deserves Another
March 5, 2008Sorry I haven’t been around lately my husband and I have been very busy trying to buy our first house. We finally have an accepted offer and after next week things should slow down a bit.
Anyways, the response to this blog even with it’s lack of daily posts has been amazing. There have been over 17,000 visits since I started the blog at the end of December! I’ve heard from a bunch of people who have had great results with their Blurb books. I’m glad I could help. But recently I was having trouble with the server I was using for the free template downloads. To my surprise a kind and generous stranger from half way around the world has volunteered to host the files for me. He said “one good deed deserves another” and I couldn’t agree more. So thank you Michael for all your help! You can visit his company website here if you need any web design work.
I also wanted to let you know about Wren who used my templates and tutorials to create a beautiful book about his trip to Africa. He also has some tutorials showing how to create some page layouts in Photoshop. You should check them out.
Thanks for all your help Michael and Wren I’m sure everyone appreciates it!
Robin… wow:
I’m a right brain thinker but a left brain goofball. But you… You have an unusual gift.
Your sage understanding of both beauty and function congers thoughts of an acrobatic pilot — or at least the dude that pats his head while rubbing his tummy real well.
I can only imagine the wonderful contributions you have yet to make.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience.

Your website is amazing. I have spent quite some time
on it. However, I am having trouble downloading the free templates. The one I am interested in is the 8X10 Landscape. None of them work for me. They are just a black screen when I go to open up the download, no lines on them. Any explanation for that?
Thanks for your help.

I’m very impressed with your photography! Thanks for visiting DIYdiva. Regarding your question about MM and the PE Exam. He is taking the Civil exam, and the last time I saw him (walking into the testing building) he was still debating on whether to do the geotechnical or construction emphasis in the afternoon.
Being not at all mathmatically oriented I have no idea how to judge the difficulty of these things, but he passed the FE his first time around. He said the nice thing for that test is that they give you all the equations you need. For the PE they don’t give you any, and you have to bring your own books. Needless to say, the car was riding low on our way down here!
Good luck on the exam, if you have any specific questions I’d be happy to pass them along to MM. He does give good advice!
What a small small world! I sent your Blurb links to so many friends only a few days after you wrote them! And now you’ve found me! How fun!!!!
p.s. thank you for saving hours of my life!
Hello,
This is the best help, I had in months. For some months ago I bought an Apple and wanted to start making photo albums of all the pictures that I have stored on my PC (about 6000). Unfortunately the website where I want to download the software (because of it’s endresult/quality) does not support Apple. So I had to make templates of my one, without any knowledges of Photoshop. After surfing over the internet for some time I found your website. What a blessing!!
First I downloaded the Blurb software, but I wanted other layouts. Kwow I have been reading your tutorials and I even think I can do it.
I’m also not a designer or artist. But reading your website I hope I can say not yet. Your albums are fantastic. Compliments from Holland
